In the SplatSpace lobby, there is no immediate light switch to flip on the lights as you come through the door, so it can get pretty dark before you find the switch. So at the Current Event on Sunday, one of the projects was to create a light that is always on. Here’s a picture of that project. Thanks, guys!
One of the great things about SplatSpace is that we get to meet a lot of great people. One such person, Christina, came to one of our meetings needing help on fixing a 3D printer. She went on to let us know that students at the school she works at were learning about 3D modeling and printing and wanted to know if we could help. Naturally Jeff was more than happy to oblige. So posted below are some pictures from the 3D Design class he led at SAGE Academy. Thanks to Christina for the pics!

Shannon Cuthrell of Exit Event magazine did an interview with Shaw Terwilliger about what Splat Space is and who we are. It’s a really awesome write-up and worth a read. You may find something out about SplatSpace that you never new before! Thanks Shannon!

This is a video compilation of the “Tinker & Taste” event at the Durham Museum of Life & Science.
SplatSpace member Carl Fega had an issue we’ve all been privy to: not enough space to store his stuff. In particular, after moving back to Durham, his kitchen was much smaller than in used to be. So in order to accommodate all of his kitchen supplies, he built a custom set of shelving for the important items, such as a sous-vide. Below, you can find his build log from idea to completion.
Engineers Day at the Museum of Life & Science was a huge success! Thanks to everyone that came out and participated! Below you’ll find some images from the event.
