This week’s schedule (Sep 01 – Sep 08)

Here’s this week’s schedule:

  • Tuesday, from 07:15PM Splat Space Open Meeting:

Open Meetings on Tuesdays include member show & tell, project updates, and calls for collaborative hacking from 7pm-8pm. By 8:00pm, the meeting will break and everyone is free to mingle, work on projects, and get to know fellow hackers.

    How to get here: http://splatspace.org/location/

We’re in the basement below Beyu Caffe @ 331 W. Main St. Parking behind the building on Ramseur St — there is plenty of parking and it’s free on weekends and/or as long as you exit the lot after 7pm.

  • Saturday, from 01:00PM TriLUG/DurLUG bash Bashing Workshop:

    PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGE

Following the TriLUG seminar on the BASH shell on Sept. 6, let’s gather and spend some time practicing what we learned!

This “bash bashing” is happening at Splat*Space in Durham, Sat. Aug 30 at 1pm – 4pm.

All persons are welcome to attend, and wired & wireless networking and power available.  Plenty of mentors will be around, and some small demonstrations will be presented of the material gone over at the meeting, an FAQ session will be presented, and other questions answered.  Please bring your device with bash installed — including MS-Windows boxes with cygwin installed.

Splat*Space is located at 331 W. Main Street in Downtown Durham — there is a front and back entrance. We recommend you go onto Ramseur St. and enter through the back, using the parking in the back.  Signs will be posted in the glass door of the red-brick building with cement horizontal strips and window sills (the historic Snow Building).  Splat*Space is in the basement — call for someone to let you in.

Feel free to inquire about Splat*Space and other activities there, but please be respectful of the materials and personal property in the ‘space.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

  • Sunday, from 06:00PM Craft Project Night:

Bring your textile, paper, jewelry, fiber, metal, or any type of craft project to the space.

  • Sunday, from 06:00PM Software Project Night:

Come to Software Project Night with a project that you want to show off, you want to ask others for help with, or that you just want to work on.

Come to Software Project Night with a software topic you want to talk about because you think it’s cool, or you want to understand it better.

Come to Software Project Night if you’re a beginner or an expert programmer: sharing your unique perspective on software is what makes Software Project Night work!

We hope to see you out!
